Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai MMA fighter as well as a mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the elder sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko is who is a Muay Thai boxer started her career in fight sport at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina Shevchenko took home an additional medal in the year 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia began her professional career in 2003 and won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut took place in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round by TKO and won her next 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled the record of three-three. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, by a unanimous decision. She left the club and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive striking ability in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Antonina Shevchenko was given an UFC contract after the victory. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko was 2-2 over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
