Amanda Elizabeth Righetti (born Amanda Elizabeth Righetti) is an American actor and producer. She became famous for her character Special Agent Grace Van Pelt on CBS the police procedural series The Mentalist. Righetti was born in Utah and had always dreamed of becoming a performer. At the age of four she started dancing. Love and Happiness, a 1995 film, was her debut on the big screen. In the role of CBS CSI: Crime Scene Investigation guest actor Righetti made her first appearance in the smaller-screen world. Her career started as a young model. Righetti began her career by modeling when she was 14 years old. Four years later she relocating from Los Angeles to Los Angeles where she continued acting in small roles but with significant significance until she was cast in Foxs teenage drama The O.C.. Righetti has also appeared in important roles in 2009's horror film Friday the thirteenth and Captain America: The first Avenger. Righetti has been featured in Foxs soap opera North Shore. In The Mentalist she played Grace Van Pelt between 2008 and 2015, receiving praise from critics for her performance. Righetti was recently seen in Madeline Kenner (USA Networks' Science fiction thriller Colony).
